Serving Our Community at Cornerstone’s Friday Morning Outreach
We’re honored to partner with Cornerstone Fellowship in their weekly Friday Morning Outreach—an incredible, compassion-filled effort serving 30–40 of our unsheltered neighbors in the Tri-Valley every week.
Each Friday morning, Cornerstone transforms their Student Center into a place of warmth, dignity, and care. Guests are welcomed with hot breakfast, warm showers, fresh clothing, packaged foods, Bible study, and access to essential services through many partnering organizations. Groups like BACS, CityServe, Monthly Miracles, Abode, and Swords & Plowshares provide housing navigation, healthcare, veteran support, and more—all working together to meet both physical and emotional needs.
Where Next Step Fits In
One Friday a the month (typically the third Friday), our team joins the outreach to offer baby resources and supportive care for anyone facing or navigating pregnancy. We bring:
Baby supplies (diapers, wipes, clothing, blankets, and other essentials)
Information about our free in-office services
Friendly support, encouragement, and guidance
Our role is simple: to meet people with compassion, practical help, and hope.
Where You Fit In
You’re not just giving to Next Step, you’re giving through Next Step. When you give, support, or partner with Next Step, your impact reaches far beyond our building. Your generosity allows us to show up at community programs like this—meeting people where they are and extending hope, help, and resources to those who might not otherwise find us. Through you, we’re able to serve some of the most vulnerable individuals in our area.
Want to Stop By?
If you’d like to see the outreach in action or stop by to say hello, you’re welcome to join us on a Friday. If you’re interested in volunteering for the broader Friday Morning Outreach—setup, teardown, donation collection, and more—Cornerstone would love your help. Contact Cornerstone for more info.
